Rehabilitation

Despite appropriate conditioning and preparation, injuries may occur during training and competition.  Physical injuries and the limitations arising from them are often treated with therapeutic exercise, the intent of which is to return the athlete to normal function.

Typically, a comprehensive therapy regimen relies on traditional physical therapy modalities such as electric and thermotherapy, as well as specific progressive resistive exercises designed to actively rehabilitate the injured body part to restore its complete range of motion and/or strength level.

The Power Skater and Power Vertex are unique exercise equipment that may be used as part of a comprehensive athletic rehabilitation program.  Interchangeable cords provide gradually increasing resistance, that through repetition will improve strength following an injury.  In addition, their unique design allows the athlete to perform resistance exercises that mimic functional sport movements, thus providing sport specific mobilization and proproceptive neuromuscular facilitation.
