Gain Your Secret Edge

It's hard to get the amount of on-ice skating needed to improve. Ice-time is also expensive and isn't always entirely dedicated to skating development.

If you are not skating, the PowerSkater fills that void. It forces users into proper form while targeting the key muscle groups — quads, hamstrings, glutes, and the primary joints of the knee, ankles, and hips.

The result? Muscle and mind memory that seamlessly translates to the ice.

Biomechanical Accuracy

Mimics the exact 45-degree skating push. Every rep trains proper stride mechanics, posture, and balance.

Progressive Resistance

5 resistance levels (10 lb to 35 lb) grow with the athlete. Start light for technique, go heavy for power.

Train Anywhere

Garage, basement, living room. Only needs about 8' × 5.5' of space. Weighs 40 lbs — easy to move and store.

All Positions Welcome

Forwards, defensemen, and goalies. Even figure skaters and inline skaters benefit from the PowerSkater.

Three Steps to a Faster Stride

No ice time needed. No gym membership. Just a few sessions a week at home.

1

Step On

Strap into the PowerSkater's foot cradles. The angled platform locks you into the exact biomechanics of a skating stride — proper knee bend, hip angle, and push direction.

2

Push Out

Drive laterally against progressive resistance bands. Each rep builds the same muscle groups you use on ice — quads, hamstrings, glutes, and hip flexors. Track bands provide constant resistance throughout the full range of motion.

3

Get Faster

Train 2–3 times per week following the STRYDE Hockey™ program. Athletes report increased muscle strength within weeks. Easy assembly — just two bolts with the supplied allen wrench.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the PowerSkater® designed for?
Ages 8-to-Pro. We recommend that children from ages 8–18 use the PowerSkater under adult supervision. Many users start at age 7.
How big is it and how easy is it to assemble?
The unit has an 8' triangle base with 5.5' sides, and weighs 40 lbs. Assembly is easy — all you need is to secure two bolts with the supplied allen wrench, then attach footrests and cords.
What resistance cords should I buy?
The Basic unit comes with yellow (10 lb, light) and red (20 lb, standard), recommended for ages 8–13 or rehabilitation. Blue (25 lb, medium) is for ages 13+. Green (30 lb, intermediate) is for advanced skaters: U16+, junior, college, and pros. Black (35 lb, heavy) is for highly advanced and physically fit players. The PLUS+ model includes all five resistance levels.
How often should I work out and how soon will I see results?
We recommend 2–3 times per week following the STRYDE Hockey™ platform. Based on age and skill level, athletes should see an increase in muscle strength within weeks. Results depend on the athlete's strength, correct posture & technique, number of workouts, and time on the machine.
Is the PowerSkater® only for forwards?
No! It's a myth that goalies don't need to be excellent skaters — they demand great balance and explosive lateral power. We have several goalies using the PowerSkater® even at the NHL level. Figure skaters and inline skaters also benefit from the system.
Will a PowerSkater® replace power skating clinics?
The PowerSkater® should be viewed as a supplement to a professional skating instructor. It helps strengthen the important muscles used in skating — something that's challenging to do on ice alone. The goal is that when the athlete gets on the ice with an instructor, they're much further developed to work on more advanced aspects of skating.
What is the Crossunder Attachment?
It's an additional component that fits into the track's sides. It trains the essential push-and-pull movement for both forward and backward skating, including drills for crossovers and targeting hip abductors and adductors. It's included in the PLUS+ model.
How do I buy a PowerSkater in Canada?
We ship throughout Canada from our distribution center in Ontario. Duties and taxes are included in your purchase! Free shipping on Canadian orders over $250.
